I've got 60K in 9 yrs of ownership and its the only car I own.

I only drive on the weekend around town for errands, as I commute to work on a subway. Never really even go on highway trips other than short city highways.

If I were unemployed, I imagine I would drive more during the week. Otherwise, the car sits in a garage all week long.

I fear age will kill my car before mileage does.

Fords FTW. I'm on 201 and still running strong. Horrible car for tinker-ers though, they never fuxing break.

My Ride: Knows Dubstep SUCKS
Let's see here, I am on track to put 35,000 on my car in 4 years, so that looks to be about 8,750 miles a year; typically drive her a few times a week.

My Ride: 00 328i, 98 M Roadie
The E46 gets driven every day at about 20k miles per year. Just turned 200k miles last weekend. I'm in the process of getting the maintenance I've delayed up to date (was thinking about either getting rid of it or driving it into the ground - now I'm committed to keeping it for the foreseeable future). The interior is 9/10, but the exterior is in need of help. I may or may not get the dings removed. I like the fact I can drive the car anywhere and not stress about getting a(nother) ding. We'll see. I am going to work on paint correction. I've never really been much of a detailer, but I want to learn.

The M Roadie is the garage queen. When the weather is nice she gets drive a lot, even to work because there aren't that many days it's not too hot or too cold (driven top down nearly 100% of the time). When it's warm during the day, but cooler at night she gets driven in the evening, sometimes just to "take her for a walk."

The M Roadie is fun to drive and far more visceral to drive than the E46, but the E46 is a great daily driver - sporting enough (even for someone who races wheel-to-wheel), yet comfortable enough to drive anywhere day in and day out.

Daily driver at about 25-30K miles per year. I drive 42 miles to work and 42 miles home. Toss in some weekend driving and nearly 40 miles from Birmingham to home each time and it adds up. I don't mind it one bit... it's all highway. Cruise control at 70 and GO! My cars generally last me a long time. When I traded in my '99 Acura TL, it had 276,000 miles on it. My '02 VW Passat had 176,000 on it when it got totaled and still ran strong. My E46 is almost to 140K and still going.
