Please Help AUX TROUBLE

Hi i have recently purchased a 330ci clubsport 2003 fully loaded model and it came with the sat nav system and cd changer in the boot. the satnav plays tapes but also cds (from cd changer), i checked my glovebox and there is a black aux cable which has already been installed. however when i connect it to my blackberry phone or ipod to play music nothing comes up as on the headunit there is no aux option only cd radio tape i tried everything and got nothing i even looked up previous aux threads but they are no help as they are all about installing the cable but mine is already installed...please help many thanks!!!!!!!

My Ride: E30 with an S52
If your head unit doesn't have a MODE button on it, the aux input may be installed but is not going to work. You need a new head unit and an antenna adapter.

my head unit does have MODE button i press it u have cd changer radio tape but no aux mode??

Disassemble your dash and check the connection yourself. It could just be unhooked. It shouldn't say "TAPE" though.

the reason it says tape is because my headunit has a tape player when the screen goes down instead of cd player

funny because on some other thread some guys were mentioning that the aux can be accessed through radio or something like that then again you might be right it wasnt installed god knows im baffled

If it's not showing up when you press MODE, it's not installed. If it is installed, it's poorly installed. Check either the Mobile Electronics forum or the DIY forum for some help.
