thank you man. and nope im just shooting with an old nikon N8008s 35mm but i usually have the cream machine (85 1.4) on it

its the older D version with the aperture ring on the lens...otherwise i wouldnt be able to use it because i cant change the aperture from my camera...

ill have to look into that, i havent heard about it

im taking a roll of ilford delta 400 to get scanned today. excited to see how some B/W comes out

I've never tried the ilford B&W stuff, but I've always heard good things about it. I've used T-max and Tri-X in the past for B&W. Be sure and post them up when you get them. Interested to hear your thoughts on it.

so i just went to costco and they said they cant process ilford delta because its not c41 or something...i really dont know what that means but im bummed.

where do you get your stuff done?

C-41 developing is primarily for color film. B&W stuff will be developed using something like D-76. The name simply refers to the chemicals that are being used.

Ilford has a film, XP2, that is B&W, but is developed using C-41. You can give that a try if you want to stick to the Costco/Walgreens type of places to get your film developed.

Wes is correct.

I used to develop my own B&W in school, but the last roll I shot I took to Ritz Camera for developing. They did a pretty good job, but it took a few days to get back because they had to send it off.

Developing B&W isn't too hard to do on your own. You don't even need a darkroom as long as you have a change bag and film canister. I think I'm going to start developing my own B&W film at home.

my buddy knows how to develop b/w and he said he'll show me...i know if i took it to samy's it would probably be pretty expensive
