Fan Belt

Hi,

My mechanic is telling me that i need a new fan belt. Can someone please recommend me a good one?

2002 325ci convertible.

Also is there another name for the fan belt? I cant seem to find an appropriate one.

My Ride: 2000 BMW 3XXi ZSP
There are two ribbed V-belts, the larger belt and the smaller one run your systems under the hood. I would suggest replacing both while you're under the hood. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/index.do

V-belt? Really? Me thinks you are mistaken. The 325 takes a serpentine belt, not a V-belt.

The original posted can find the belts here...

Any autoparts store will sell a suitable belt to put on your car.

@jdstrickland; I call it a serpentine as well; however REALOEM.com calls them both Ribbed V-Belts with different part numbers: 11281706545 and 11281437450. I was just using the terminology of Real OEM, using their technical terms not mine... They are the two drive belts that go around the pulleys and run the junk under the hood... lol!

Correct, it is a serpentine belt.
