How bad is the negative attention with luxury cars...?

My car is nearing 150k miles and I think it may be time to make a horrible investment and buy a nice car. But I am worried about the negative attention this would bring. I know a lot of you are from socal where house maids drive s550's but here in Michigan it is a little different.

any thoughts?

Not sure yet. I am for sure not going to buy a new car. Something 2-3 years old with 20-30k miles in the $35-40k range.

You're a ginger wigger, I don't think you have to worry about bringing anymore negative attention to yourself.

seriously I don't think people notice or give a fck whether you're in a Camry or S550. It's more like what you perceive yourself...

and if you "hangin out the window so they can see you"

All of those cars you posted will be a lot more expensive to maintain as well, a complete 180 from your honda accord, not to mention gas mileage. I would recommend a nice 335i, a very nice one can be had for around 30k, although it wont look as baller as the S class.

Be VERY careful...is it a private seller?

Flint is no joke man. Makes Detroit look good.

I may go that route.

I want to keep my Honda for work related stuff. Meeting clients in a fancy car sucks for negotiating purposes...

Smart move, the honda will last you a long time as a daily driver, and parts are cheap. In that case, I would say splurge for something a bit more if its going to be a weekend/fun car. Out of the ones you posted I'd pick the M3 would be the most fun while still being luxurious(unlike the the vette), and they always keep their value well, an s550/a8 out of warranty will be a money pit.

Perhaps you should stop responding. It's a no-win for you here. :dunno:
