LED Modification for BMW hood emblem (Pictures). Next best interesting mod? or not?

Found this odd tidbit on the German eBay site while anoraking for parts...

It mounts on the hood and rear trunk lid and lights up LED style.

What do you guys think?

images on the hood

and on the e46 trunk lid.

Literally everything was in german but from the pictures I assume it wires in thru the hood (with a hole drilled) and into where it would tap into the same source as angel eyes.

For the trunk lid at the back the wiring can be ran and tapped into the driving tail lamps

I like it. Definitely look good in the rear with the LED license plate lights. If they made the rear for the vert I would try it out.
Do it and post pics so I can masturbate after.

Hmmmmmm....debatable. On the back with matching license plate lights - possibly. On the front? No way. On your desk? **** yeah.

Olaf, I'm not sure where this is going to end up, but since I like you, I'll tell you my immediate and then more thoughtful reactions.

My immediate reaction was "Olaf!" Then, "Olaf, you have to stop!" Then, "Olaf, it's a BMW not a carnival ride!"

But then, I thought a little more about how hypocritical I am. You saw my car with the fiber optic lines spelling out BMW in the rear window and along my side skirts. You saw how I can change their colors with just a button. You saw them flash in time with Stairway to Heaven...so I guess I shouldn't really have thought any of what I did. Sorry!

How would you open the hood if you had it wired where the angel eyes are??

Imo, would look neat on the steering wheel emblem if it lit up orange like the rest of the dash

Otherwise, would only look cool on a desk or something

Details, details! He has a bmw; he doesn't really need to open the hood!

He can figure that part out...don't worry about that. He needs help with the concept! Show him (with words) the expression on your face when you see the lit Roundel...then tell him what you'd then think about the guy that did that!

lol. That is hilarious Doug.

No. I most likely won't do this.

The Shipping Fees from Berlin to NY alone deters me from even considering buying it.

I just thought it was interesting dinner table convo.

That actually looks not too bad!
