Finally got my hood painted and the car "finished"!

So the whole thing began back in november... got into a front collision and had to do some work... replace hood and grill, fix bumper, replace headlights, replace front rad support, replace front air dam.... and other various plastic pieces.. and replace the windshield... stupid claims people. But anyway did all the parts replacement myself, had my body shop fix the front bumper and i spent months looking for a replacement hood... shop ordered one and my luck it came damaged.. had to go back... never got a replacement after waiting like 4 weeks. Ordered from somewhere else and then had to find someone local to paint it since i left on active duty. Long story short drove with a plain cf hood for a couple months.. finally dropped it off tuesday and got it back today. I think it looks good.

Good work on the repair. You didn't want to drive out with a black and red theme going on? lol

You know I had it for a couple months and actually really did like it and everyone that I told I was painting a carbon fiber hood was like what the hell is wrong with you but I think it just looked a little bit classier being painted the color of the car and just leaving the vents exposed

I understand their reaction, because most people normally assume you buy a carbon fibre hood for the cool pattern, and never think of the weight savings.

Very clean look, I'm a big fan of that hood paint-matched. Nice job.

My Ride: is uncomfortable
Love it. If I were to get any kind of carbon part, Id leave it carbon accented with paint. Looks good

The reason is probably because the hood is brand new paint, and the rest of the car is sunfaded. Give it a bit, and it should blend in eventually.
