Not sure which you want to see so here is both. The 12 yr is quite sweet. Most sweet highland I've had.

Tried some Laphroaig today, my first Islay. Gotta admit, it has such a rich flavour. You really taste the oak hints and salty tones. Quite an interesting drink vs. the Speysides I've been on lately.
On that note, while at the DEL airport's new T3 Duty Free (which is MASSIVE), I saw the best collection of alcohol I've ever seen for sale. Such an immense variety of rum/vodka/scotch/everything that I can't even get here in Toronto. There was a Luxury Collection area with rare, aged bottles starting from 1K USD up to ~5.5K USD. The prices were also lower than most US DFA shops. |

IIRC, Costco had the Dalmore Cigar Malt around Christmas time. I regret not buying a bottle.

Same with the liquor store near me. Must be a warm holiday thing. I'm saving it for my wedding cigar. Lol

Its also a cultural thing as most of my friends/family were scotch drinkers. If it's not for you, be happy. One less thing to blow money on... |

Only the Macallan 12 is worth noting in that photo.
It's an acquired taste. Took me about two years to get my palate acquainted. As posted earlier, I, too started with cheap scotch mixed with soda/pop (ie. crown and gingerale), then worked my way up to lessing the dilution and moving towards better scotches. |
