I search oil leak on my 2001 325 for a long time. It turns out that it was the gasket / oring on the oil filter housing. That is fairly common and there is a diy somewhere on this board that tells you how to change. Part was inexpensive but took long time. Because of what you need to remove to get to it, you probably want to consider doing other maintanence at the same time. Good luck. Oil leaks are a pain.

Oil filter housing gasket. Time consuming, but over all not that bad.

They usually leak very little oil.

danpay, you must be new here!

If you want help with regulator, you can either just ask in a random thread above, or click search/advanced search/ and do a title search on that. You'll find many threads on it and many tips.

I don't want to ask why you're here wandering around, but I'm imagining you as sort of a 5 year old left alone by his parents in Times Square...like in Home Alone.

Read the threads on it...it's an easy diy...as they almost all are...when you know what you're doing! If you don't, just study until you haven't a clue! True Story.

You'll get used to the place pretty soon...or not. I don't how long I've been here and I still don't have a clue how it works!

Don't worry, most are far nicer than me!
