my vmr csl's also started to peel like this, i sold them and moved on the better quality stuff.

That's really crappy. I hope my sportline wheels I'm getting from modbargains has a better finish.
For 4 months that's just crazy. Maybe if you had owned them for 10 years.

My E92 ///M3 wheels are holding up quite nicely and they're replicas from ModBargains.com. I've even nailed a couple nasty potholes and they're still fine.

What did you wash the wheels with? I know VMR says explicitly to wash with nothing harsher than regular car shampoo. I had this same issue with my VB3 after getting my car detailed - the shop used a more acidic solvent than recommended and one of the wheels had this problem on a few of the spokes. They were understanding though and paid for the wheel to be refinished.

Since then I've made sure to use car shampoo and have had no further problems
