Bumper Help?

Hi everyone, i just bought my first BMW in may and i love it, its a 2004 BMW 325I coupe, ill be posting more pictures on my profile later on. Ive been wanting to change some things on it, but not too many mods because i plan to sell it in a year or so for an M series ( Mainly because theres more you can build onto an M and because my coupe has an LSD and i want posi trac. ) But anyways, ive seen these bumpers on E46'S alot and i think they look better than the standard stock E46 rear bumpers, and i dont know where to find them or what they are called specifically. Ill post a couple pictures of the bumpers on here. Any comments or feedback would be great! Also if you think any other rear bumpers would look better post them! Thank you!

Your coupe does NOT have a limited slip differential. That's an M3 thing.

M-Tech II rear bumper is what you're looking for.

If you're going to upgrade in a year, save your money. That way you can throw it all at the M. No point in upgrading your current ride just to sell it, not gonna up resale value, so no point. Just my opinion, no offense meant.

Absolutely. If he is going to do it, more power to him. Just not a good investment. I bought mods for my first pre-facelift 323i, only cause I planned on searching for the same exact car later on (went from auto to manual). That way I could swap mods from my old car to new one. Only thing I couldn't take was the tints lol.

Either way, didn't mean to thread jack. The M-Tech II rear is an awesome bumper. One of my planned upgrades eventually.

Agreed, better to save and plan. Although, this would be a good car to practice on if you're going to do your own work. If it were me I'd be saving my money though.

A coupe would be refered to a 325ci, not 325i, that would be a sedan. But anyway, everyone is right, I had a 3 series, did a few cosmetic things and spent about $1500 doing it, yes it looked my like an M3 than a 330ci, but at the end of the day, it wasnt an M3. Save your money, your going to need it for an M, trust me on that one. As far as the rear bumper, its an M-tech rear end I believe, I'm not quite sure why you bought this car in the first place if you plan to get rid of it in a year I would have just saved more money for the M. Don't spend any money on that car, just sell it and buy the M. If you decide not to go with an M, then mod the hell out of that thing, alot of people just do that on here. Theres some insane looking non-m's on this forum, just look to see what you can do and go from there.

Yahs, there are many routes you can take. There is something special about getting a new part for your beloved Bimmer that never gets old

Here's the route i took:

I like my XI because its practical. It may not have the power of an M, however this bad boy does have 4 doors, AWD, as well as a pimp sub box (wouldn't make sense putting an 80+ pound box into an m now would it?). Yeah, its a bit slower, heavier, and has a worse turning radius.... but lets be honest, I don't track my car so it makes sense for a DD. It has a manual tranny which makes me happy as well. My plan is to keep this in good condition and keep it as my DD until very far in the future. AKA, no unnecessary performance mods, just maintenance (lol whoops, already fudged that up..... have KW's) and cosmetic for me Gotta keep her pretty!

When I have a legitimate job, then I'll splurge on an E46 M3 ( or E39 M5 ) and throw in some HPF components for fun. But thats a loooong way away for me, and i've accepted it!
