How did you pinpoint the whinning noise to PS pump? Usually it is pulley's that whine when the bearing starts to wear out....my guess is you think it is PS pump but is actually the Idler pulley. I recommend you pull the belts, change all pulleys and all will be good again.
If you are sure it is PS pump...just suck out the old fluid with a turkey baster and put some new dexron III fluid in it...run it a week or two and do it again to get more of it out...will only take about 6 ounces in the resorvoir, and you have to buy a quart, so this is an easy cheap way to see if it is your problem. additives are not necessry for this.

thanks for your advice, and yes is the ps pump because i took it to a mechanic and they change all my belts and told me that the winning noise is the ps pump and might go out soon and also you can hear it when you are turning the steering wheel specially when parking or backing up.i just thought that since is allready winning it my be better using an additive but i will try what you suggest it. thanks

Couldnt that whining sound be attributed to som sort of leak like the cap o ring or clamps and hose need to be changed. Just a curious question
