E92 M3 Frozen Black Edition! 1 of 20 Pics!

So I went to a car meet sunday morning a couple weekends ago. Lots of awesome cars. But my favorite was the M3 Frozen Black Edition

Only 20 were made! BMW kept one in germany and the rest were a USA special edition. This guy brought his out. It had 50 miles on it! And the interior had a little badge that said 1 of 20.

Same guy also owned the frozen gray m3 and an E30 M3. Here are some pics!

Are you sure the rest are only for the US?

I was in Adelaide (South Australia) over the weekend and I spotted one in the "Downtown" BMW Dealership. I don't know if it was a Frozen black Edition M3 but the paint was definitely Matte Black.

EDIT: sorry it could be different, as the Aussie version is known as the "Black Edition".

if i had matte black paint, I would never take it to an automatic car wash... actually i never take any of my cars to an automatic car wash anyway.

I know you can special order the frozen black color as a personalized option. But the actual Frozen Black Edition was a USA only special edition as far as I know. Kinda wish they gave it a power bump like some of the other special editions, but I guess US regulations didn't let that happen.

Yeah we got the pure edition too but the black edition has just been announced for Oz too which is the one i saw in the showroom.

being 1 of 20 is cool, but i wouldnt pay that premium for a hard to wash car.

But on the other hand, i'm pretty sure its not gonna be a daily driver. Most likely it'll be covered in his garage most of the time. So a hard clean once in a while shouldn't be to bad.

But then again... he also has the frozen grey which is just as hard to clean. haha
