E46 M3 ZCP Comp Package Steering Rack

Steering rack came out of a 2005 M3 with Competition Package. Steering Rack has a quicker ratio vs the standard M3 Rack. Direct swap for all e46 M3's, no programming required. Steering rack does not include tie rod ends. Car had 60k miles when it was pulled out.

$350 shipped.

My understanding was that in fact non M E46 had the quickest ration of all - even quicker than CSL.

Sounds strange but true... APPARENTLY the reason is the engineers thought a quicker rack was not necesarily better for a high powered car.

That said it does seem they went something like

E46 non M - quickest
E46 M3 Competiton (quicker than normal M3)
E46 M3 CSL (quicker than normal M3)
E46 M3 - slowest

It seems a bit odd - to say M3 shouldnt have too quick a rack - but then in the CSL and Comp package they do make it quicker (which is contradictory)

Keen for other enthusiasts thoughts / facts...

The ratio is 14.5:1, The M3 competition is the same ratio as the CSL

Nice price. I swapped in the zcp/csl rack on my STD m3 some time ago.

Might post on m3f. You'd prob sell it there quicker.

I don't have the tie rods but you can purchase them online from any vendor.
