DDE GenV light locations on 2000 328 sdn

Just installed my GenV DDE's this past weekend and had a hard time finding a mount position for the passenger side lightbox in my 2000 328i sedan. On the drivers side I mounted it in front of the shock tower. On the passenger side screwed the lightbox's bracket to the top edge of the washer fluid tank.

For the passenger side, the only areas with enough room to mount the lightboxes were under the battery terminal, near the shock tower, to the right of the washer fluid tank (where I mounted it), or just behind the headlight, but in front of the washer fluid tank.

The fibers would not reach to the preferred position of under the battery terminal as the washer fluid tank would force me to route them around it. Behind the headlight was a concern because the side of the lightbox would've been pressed against the washer fluid tank. I was concerned with the heat the lightbox throws off & the melting of the washer fluid tank.

Any other suggestions are welcome. Also, is it possible to purchase those fibers in longer lengths? If so, I'm wondering on the effect of the halo brightness if the light has to travel a greater distance.

I'll try to post some pictures later of the install.

Man ..you are brave to put them there

I just dont want to think whats going to happen when bulb will brake it'll be too much hasle for me to take apart part of the body to change the bulb

check
guide from Umnitza

page 8 rigt lower corner shows you one location...but I think temperatures in that place are way too high anyway so I installed it between winshield fluid tank and air intake.

actually I only have to remove the inner fender cover (3 bolts) to replace a bulb if I need to. Not much of a hassel at all.

I'd love to move my lightboxes to inside the fender! Anyone know where I can get more of the fiber? I cut the pieces I have now, so they won't reach.
