Intake boot Replacement for M54

Part number 3 in the diagram has a 4cm long crack..

Anyone know of any aftermarket replacements?

Car still runs "Ok" however won't be driving until I get it replaced thats for sure..

When I drive, the car has a whistling sound... Yeh I have a turbo

Pretty sure ECS tuning and Turner Motorsport have this part but i could be wrong.. More importantly make sure there is no damage to the MAF sensor.

My Ride: cars older than you
Should replace the lower one too. If your upper went bad I'm sure your lower isn't too far off.

Please take Jake's advice. I'd be willing to be whatever you save by going with an eBay part that it won't fit and/or function like it should. The part is freaking $40 at the dealer, if you can't afford that then sell your car and buy a car that likes cheap Japanese parts and have at it.

Many of the intake boots advertised on eBay/online actually do say that they are a Genuine BMW oem part. For me it would be much easier to order online and get it posted to me opposed to having to contact a dealer, visit the dealer or wait for them to get the part in.

Also the reason why I expressed my 'need' here on the forum is because some other forum members may have one lying around.. As seen above, I bought the actual intake boot part from Bmwf1 as he had a brand new OEM one in his garage which he never used, but unfortunately I still need the elbow part.

Thanks for your concern and advice, definitly I will not settle for any 'cheap' part. I do agree with you on your point there, if I were in a position where I couldn't afford to maintain my car properly then I'd be better off driving a Japanese car. However thankfully I certainly can afford to own a BMW..
