Seems the BMW units have arrived?

There is a CA based place on Ebay claiming to have E46 units ready to ship same day. No sign of E39 though.,

Come on you're a big boy now, you can make your own decisions.
But since you asked, I say not, actually it wouldn't be a bad idea to get one, nah fvck it, don't do it but then again maybe you should.

hahaha, I am trying to see what others think, before I make an almost $1000 commitment.

With the countless different Dynavin threads, posts and reviews this past year if you haven't made your mind up by now then you never will.

Maybe each time a new version is launched, it's possible to reevaluate the pro/cons of the product.

I Dynavin support "GALA", I may consider buying it. But not if this important feature is still lacking.

I don't think GALA is necessary if you have steering wheel controls... just saying. No if that was missing I would complain.

I think that we should separate HK and other setups.

HK adapts its equalizations thanks to speed information. If you have HK, GALA is useless in the head unit.

D99 platform was targeted for European market.

In Europe we don't have Hi-Fi or HK speakers as standard. We have a poor setup with 6 awful speakers.

In Europe GALA is a very important feature. We don't have HK as standard!

I will not come back 20 years in the past just because I have steering wheel control. I use steering wheel control when I want to increase or decrease the sound, but not to do it when the vehicle speed change like I did 20 years ago.

This feature is available on every low-end car.

GALA is a safety feature.

I don't want to be disturbed by continuously adjusting the volume while accelerating and breaking.

I don't understand why it's not already available in Dynavin.

Is this GALA thing an issue? I assume my E39 has it but I have never noticed it nor paid any attention to it. I do hope this isn't because it's so totally excellent and works so well that I'll really notice when its not there and I've got the Dynavin in!

It should do its job.

You can disable it on the stock E46 headunit in the setup menu or by holding the tone note key.

It should be the same on the E39.

To my mind it's a real issue

I've not even thought about it. My E39 is quiet and refined at speed so there is never really instrusive road noise so hopefully it isn't an issue. A shame it doesnt have it, mind.

I had an E39 528i in 1996 and the benefits of GALA was already noticiable even though it was a quiet car.

Hi, guys. I have 2 questions about new D99 product.

1. Does it support iPhone/iPad, or only iPod? If so, will it charge device or just play music?
2. Android version allow to install Igo Navi software?

The Android version will obviously allow you to install Android software. If there is a version of iGo for Android you can install it, but I dont think there is.
