Using Zaino after Mcguiar's Headlight Cleaning Kit use?

I have just just Mcguiar's headlight lens cleaning kit and would like to protect the lens' UV damage.. I am a Zaino user and figure that Zaino All in One followed by Z-2 or Z-5 should protect the lens from UV discoloration. Question is: Do I have to remove the Mcguiar's buffed in paste before applying the Zaino. I would think I should...how?

Hand remove anything left behind by the cleaning kit with a clean microfiber towel. Then apply any or all of the Zaino products listed for added protection.

Are you saying that just the MF towel alone will remove the Meguiar's plastic cleaner residue and make things clean enough so that the Zaino stuff will bond to the lens? Naively, I would think that the lens should be cleaned with something like alcohol and/or Dawn to prepare the surface for Zaino to bond properly???

Generally speaking the residue left behind by polishes can be removed with just a clean microfiber towel. Some faint oils can remain that can slightly hinder the bonding process so wiping with a 50/50 mix of IPA can help. However using alcohol repeatedly on plastic, vinyl or rubber surfaces can dry them out so I don't recommend using them often. However you can skip this step altogether and just apply the sealant and get very similar results in my experience.
