Help!!!

ok so i put a clutch in my xi and after i started it up i got a check engine light. i scanned it and came up with a crank sensor fault so i lifted the car back up and saw that the sensor was unplugged. i went to plug it in and realized that the tab was broken. i got a new sensor, put it in, cleared faults and the same fault came back. it has an extended crank and very little power. keep in mind the car has 220,000 miles. any suggestions or ideas? has anyone had this problem before????
