Question Sub box with 2 JL w7's-- face it towards seats or rear bumper?

I really cannot tell too much difference between the two placements (sound wise). And the box fits perfectly right in the center of the truck and pushed up against the seats- both for front OR rear firing.

So to me, it does not matter look-wise or space-wise.

But which should I stick with for SQ? I put my seats down very rarely but definitely sometimes when I want to be obnoxious.

Any personal experience? Thanks guys--

Are they 12's or 10's

I'll be honest ( and I don't have w7's but)...
If you have 2 W7's in your trunk I'm not sure if it's going to matter. from everything I've heard about them, one is a monstr and two could make you sh!t your pants... I think you are in a position to place them anyway you'd like!

They are two 12's...and yeah, they are quite obnoxious.

I just do not see too much of a difference between the placements....reasons for one or the other---

anybody have this setup like this?

They should probably face the bumper, so that the bass wave can form by the time it hits you. Try it placement test with one sub and you'll see what I mean.

i personally like facing the rear. utilize your whole trunk as your box. as long as you dynamat your trunk, there shouldn't be any rattling.

Right now, they both are running off of a 1000/1. I didn't have the cash for 2 1000/1's. Although they are technically "underpowered, " I am very happy.

HOWEVER-- as soon as I can afford to, I am going to go with another 1000/1. Hopefully, within the year. We'll see!

I'd say you answered your own question. If you can't tell the difference between the two positions, then it must be the same SQ for both to your ears. Place it however you want.
