E46 M3 Car will not start after charging dead battery

Need help. I left my car parked for about 2 months without driving it. E46 M3. When i went to use it the other day, the car would not start. Almost no charge on the battery, no electronics, and no sounds when turning the key. So i pulled the battery out after trying to jump the car failed.

I took the battery to a local shop and they charged it for me. I reinstalled the battery and now i get power, all electronics works, yet it will not start the car. It makes the sounds as if it would start, same sound a car makes before starting for that first second or two, but the car continues and no starting occurs.

Any ideas on this.
The car functioned perfectly the last time it was driven.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

its possible the battery isnt holding the charge. if its below 12 volts, you will get lights, electronics, etc, but no start. get the battery tested or test it yourself. also now that the battery is somewhat charged, try to jump start it again and see if that works

Batteries have a finite life span. Typically what deteriorates are the internal plates, and when they start to go, the battery will never hold a full charge, no matter how long it's on a charger. Try hooking up a good battery and see if your car starts. If it does, it's time to replace your battery.
