Oh yeah, I did change the aux fan to the M3 one this past weekend. My sedan aux fan and the M3 aux fan are electrically and physically identical.
The only difference is that the M3 shroud is shorter at the bottom to allow more airflow to the oil cooler. Unfortunately, the shroud alone is NLA, so it's a bit difficult to get a hold of.
