I currently have a 2010 F-150 Lariat. I was driving a 2010 GMC Sierra for 9 months when I was on the oil rigs. If the GMC is any indication of what the quality will be like on the Chevy, it can't even compare to the Ford. There is a reason F-150's are outselling the GM trucks badly, there is a reason they didn't need a bailout, there is a reason they have profited like 11 straight quarters out of the recession and there is a reason they are not only stealing market share from GM but from the Asian companies as well.

BTW are you in oil and gas? I work in CSS and SAGD, Venezuela is pretty much the only other place in the world that has heavy oil reservoirs like ours which are ideal for steam stimulation, lots of opportunity for me to work there.

I'm close to a processing plant, but I don't work in the oil industry.

^ are you retarded? How many times does he have to tell you that he can't buy a diesel?

Reading comprehension and knowledge of trucks are scarce in this thread.

Be smart...get the Ford.

I dont want anything used and I don't want to do a swap. I also won't do any towing. I don't want a diesel. I am like Jeremy clarkson in that respect.

You can see the cars they sell used here. http://www.tucarro.com.ve/

If you get a Chevy or a Ford, you will still get a good product.
Ford and Chevy pickups are the most competitive products in any market.
However, truck owners are loyal and you often hear someone being a Ford guy or a Chevy guy. They don't switch brands often.

The Ford Fseries and the Chevy truck series are the best selling 'cars' every month in the US. They outsell every other car in America to include the Taurus, Camry, Accord etc...

Ford trucks are outselling Chevy. There must be a good reason for it.

No, the dmax is not a reliable form of transportation. It does get stupid fast, though!

The police used to use Luvdmax's as police cars before Venezuela started using the calibur and the centauro. They were huge pieces of ****, but the police always took a good car and destroyed it.

I don't care about speed because the roads here suck.

Ford is only good at one thing and that's trucks/vans. My dad had a '97 E350 (van) diesel for work and it lasted him 380,000 miles.

In the end. I decided not to get one. Too expensive for what you get. Shame really.
If I do decide to get a brand new truck, it will be in the U.S. I'd wait a year and bring it down with me.

You are comparing two different lines of trucks. Are they the same price where you live? What about 2500 Chevy?

I love my Suburban. The interior (same as silverado) is much nicer than Ford.

Although my F150 was problem free.
