Found some huge leaks around each injector. Ordered new larger O rings. Should be back together either late today or first thing tomorrow.

No good news..... Everything is fine until I get to about 900 RWHP and then it is pushing water out the coolant reservoir. I think we are lifting the cylinder head even though we have L19s in there. It is also down on power a bit from last year but a lifting cylinder head would do that.

We torqued them to 110 ft/lbs if I remember correctly.

We had a supra come in a few months ago with a similar issue. The customer wanted 1300 RWHP but at 1200 it kept lifting the head on him. We put a new HG in it, new studs and made sure that all decks were flat and at 1200 it lifted again. It ended up being that the cylinder head was old and annealed. The actual aluminum of the head was soft and compressing letting it lift! We put a new head on it and made almost 1400 with no issues!

Yeah I know... I just hate when this stuff happens. I will give Tom a great deal on replacing the HG but it is a ton of labor on these cars! Just sucks

On the brighter side the car seems to run very well and the spool with the new manifold is actually a bit better than the old cast manifold!

I would suggest head surface and block deck to be checked.

Wish you luck.

110ft-lbs is some serious torque on those studs. amazing it still pushed water. is the block sleeved? sleeve shift causing a leak? i guess you'll know when you get the heads off.

Forgot to mention they removed the 1 piece drive shaft and replace with oem, still vibrating Larry says, so im thinking it has to be the solid hpf motor/tranny mounts? What mounts are you turbo m3 guys running?
