Strange Sounds coming from the dash

Hey guys, I've got this strange sound emanating from what seems like the left hand side of the dash. It's random and doesn't happen all of the time. It went away for at least a week and now its back. The best I can describe it is like a feedback sound and I'm pretty sure its not coming from any of the speakers. It still makes the sound when I shut off the stereo.

I made a quick video of the noise and you may need to turn your sound up to hear it. Anyone ever hear something like this or know what it is?

That's actually a pretty good description of what it sounds like.

I'm sure I've posted my cricket fix in some cricket threads...removing cabin air filter and blowing the hell out of the blower, while the fan is on full blast...

You're trying to blow off dust, etc., that's collected on the fan which is so light, that enough dust might well unbalance it. I did mine and the crickets disappeared for maybe a year or so. Need to do it again soon, but every now and again, I'll just make sure to exercise my fan and crank it up...which I rarely otherwise do because I don't use the auto climate control.
