Loss power, tranny limp mode?
Ok was driving noticed red battery light on then a loss of power rpm went up but no power. So I pulled over next thing I noticed was that there was no gear selection on display only if I shifted to the steptronic the "S" would appear..during this whole time car still running but couldnt put it in reverse all it did was spike my rpm so I shut of car and tried restarting it but no go everything comes on fine but wont turn over... Checked my fuses #30 was out so I replaced it but still same symptom...i also hear like a humming coming from between motor and dash also when I turn on headlights...humming stays on for about 10-15 second after I remove key...any ideas or similar problems?

Very interesting... Never heard of such a thing really... When you said red battery light, I imagined alternator...
It could be a number of things... I'd imagine the non-turn over would be starter or maybe battery? Maybe the battery can't power the vehicle's functions correctly, so the display isn't correctly working? I haven't got a clue in the world. What have you tried?
