??? software upgrade for 330ci auto ???

I have searched and searched... But I have been unable to find any software upgrade for my 2001 330ci (auto) that doesn't require me to remove my ECU and ship it to a programing center. Please help.

Thats cause it doesn't exist. Save your money, do a manual swap.

Ehhh I would research that before you get yourself into a lot of trouble with that active reflash. It's better to act like it doesn't exist.

Yeah, I called that shop. They don't upgrade the software at the shop. They just remove the ECU and ship it to Active for you (takes 5 days). I'm looking for a place that doesn't remove my ECU and ship it. I drive my car every day, so that's not an option. And if I did ship my ECU, I would send it to ESS or Powerchip.

There isn't a shark for the 330ci with an automatic transmission. Does active autoworks have "mod specific" software?

I don't think I mentioned 20 more horses... I simply want to take advantage of intake and exhaust upgrades.

Yes.
They made my tune for my headers, throttle body, and ported heads.

I have found something from Bavarian Autosport. Looks like a Confronti Shark, only the plastic is red instead of black. When ordering, it does not take into account manual vs. auto (which is troubling). Also, I found what most certainly is a joke (claims outrageous gains in whp). Here are the links for both. Bavarian and Gforce

As far as I know, the Bavarian Power Programmer is a rebranded Conforti Shark Injector. It looks the same and makes similar claims. However, I cannot be 100% sure. I think Dinan might make software for the E46 330 auto, but you would have to send your DME to them or visit an authorized Dinan reseller to get the DME flash.

The dyno shows a 3 whp gain.

pretty damn possible and not outrageous.

Sry, I should have been more clear. I was referring to the Gforce link when I said "outrageous claim."

Here's the answer you're looking for: Jim Conforti (Shark Injector) found that about 1 in 4 330Ci/i with auto tranny failed when Sharked. The DME would "Lockup" & never work again, when this was realized he decided not to offer an auto trans version.

Thus, that's why you don't see one.

Merry Christmas.
