Diff Output Flange Seal

Just so everyone knows...this is backwards. It goes in the other way.

If you install the clip shown here, new one on the bottom...

And the flange doesn't stay in...the seal is backwards.

Actually not a big deal. I just popped out the seal and put it in the right way. Just took one very frustrating hour to figure it out. I was thinking the whole time...everyone says its soooo easy!

If you couldn't get the flange in all of the way, you just needed a bigger hammer. If that doesn't work then get a bigger one.

I did. I kept beating the focking thing. Beat it with mallet, a hammer, hammer and a pipe. Cursed and yelled at it too. Then I figured it out and started fist pumping in my garage. My neighbors were looking at me like I was weird.

I had flashbacks of my shifter knob removal incident.

For the record, I searched the forum and Bimmerforums. I couldn't find a clear pic of the correct orientation of the seals. Also, I found that I am apparently the only one who installed the seal backwards...or at least admitted it.
