I have found that 5A-D could indicate that the 02 sensors need to be replaced, however does anyone know what code 34 [52] Solenoid valve, exhaust flap, short circuit to negative or open circuit is? I cant seem to find anything on this.

Redflea definitely disable the driver signing if you run into this issue.

Thanks ! So you didn't have to do any soldering or wiring changes, just turn off driver signing checking. Nice.

Finally got my wire from xcar360... I was skeptical at first because I couldn't get the tracking number and then even though it said it was shipped, it was actually waiting for them to package it, but nevertheless, they sent me an e-mail saying not to worry and that normal shipping takes 2-3 weeks so I waited patiently.

I configured my computer to run on XP even though I didn't realise that you are able to run it on Win7 light edition or something (pos anyways) while waiting.

Ran through the steps as guided (TURN OFF YOUR INTERNET); first installed the disc through advanced options, la la... just following instructions!!

Then ran downstairs, jumped inside my car, plugged the wire in, turned off my internet again, ignition on, program loaded.. and scanned it..

BOOM! It works

I did NOT have to solder anything or whatever, I guess that issue was fixed and now they are sending out normal, working, without modifications cables...

so i'm happy!~

I guess I'll go play around and see what everything means from now on and re read the thread all over again for any tips I've missed!

I got mine about 2 weeks ago from xcarGO, it is the newest scanner with cables already soldered, It didn't work in the beginning, it couldn't detect the car and was only able to find 2 modules.
i ordered the 20pin round adapter to hook up the scanner yesterday and it worked like a charm. Turned off my DRL, activated alarm, auto doorlock and one click window roll up.

It works (no soldering)!
Happy so far.
But have some questions...

It arrived today, earlier than expected (ordered on Feb 4).

Installed on Win XP laptop, no issues (disabled driver signing).

Programmed my car (e39) as first test - enable relock if don't open doors within 2 minutes of unlocking and that worked fine.

Then programmed my wife's car (2005 330Ci vert) to enable alarm/tilt sensor I installed recently, and a few other things.

But...I can't find (in ZKE, where I expected it to be) settings to move the seats to memory location when unlocking the car. The attached document indicates it is a supported feature on the e46.

Anyone know the module where it can be found?

Also...anyone w/a 330ci vert want to post their ZKE screen - interested if they are the same.

And I captured screens showing all the modules I could scan, this is w/key in position 2. Are more possible w/this scanner? Will I see all I can see w/the key in position 2, or do I have to use both position 1 and position 2 to see the maximum?

As yours is the 325 not 330 you wont have the flap thats why its showing a fault..its the same as mine nothing to worry about..

I didnt know about this function. I will check out mine. Im guessing you tried looking in the Seat Memory Function SMF? If you find it, please post it. Its been a while since I had the scanner hooked up, not sure if I could even get the SMF function.

I actually only looked in ZKE...partly a time issue, wife was blowing the "Too much time" whistle on me and wanted me to come in from the garage and watch a movie with her.

I was expecting to find that in ZKE since it's where all the other automatic setting stuff related to unlocking the car is, but looks like I was wrong about that.

EDIT:

I just checked and when I open the seat memory modules, key in position 1 or 2, they do not provide the "Recoding" button required to get into the settings. So for some reason that is locked out for me.

I also wanted to know more about the error codes I got on my windows...see attached.

My mechanic diagnosed a problem w/my passenger window not consistently going all the way up as a programming issue, and performed a window reset (basically something like put the window all the way down and hold the button down, put it all the way up and hold the button up).

I got the car back and the second time I tried the window it did the same behavior as before going into the shop...put it all the way down, it goes up almost half way then reverses and stops about 1/3 way up. It did that twice in a row. Since then I haven't been able to get it to fail again, but am going to keep trying it.

In any case, do the error codes in the attachment indicate that this is a mechanical/part issue, rather than a programming issue? Thanks!
