The dwarf planet Eris (Who Knew?!?)

Ok, who knew about this? They found it in 2005 and tried to get it classified as a planet, but the scientific community came back and said that's not a planet and you know what, pluto is not a planet anymore either.
Pluto was my favorite planet as a child, so I usually dig around in new science books to see what they say about it, and it's usually pretty brief. Never heard of Eris or seen it mentioned before today.
(I was just googling "Mike Brown" and coincidently Eris was found by "Mike Brown")

Knew about Pluto getting downgraded.

Didn't know about Eris. Very cool.

Also learned tonight that there is Haumea and Makemake that are in the same area of the solar system as Eris, and Ceres is a dwarf plant hidden in the asteroid belt.
