That lift would save me hours of troubles, however for $2000 I can't imagine it would pay for itself anytime soon.

Curious how you've spent literally tens of thousands of dollars on random tools, equipment, and engine parts like its no big deal. Makes me wonder why you're replacing your M52 with an M54 instead of an S54.

An interesting idea, but I afraid it is not usable for any work that requires removal of exhaust, transmission, driveshaft or rear subframe. So, basically paying $2000 for a jack to replace wheels? Thank you, but - no.

I think that's crazy overkill for home use. Rolling it on anything other than perfectly smooth and level ground must be a nightmare.

You are right about the price and that is one of the biggest complaint about the EZ carlift. everyone loves it minus the price.

The S54 is too complicated and I think I might be over my head (just doing a self assessment). I have to get a complete donor car and swap every component over and by then I will be 99yrs old.

I am so upset right now. I think I know exactly who did it. I live by myself (the majority of the time...husband works/lives in Dallas). So I have two neighbors (married guys) who always help me out (mow the lawn..get my UPS/FEDEX package, etc) and check up on me every now and then. I think their wives called the HOA. I know for a fact one wife did and then convinced her friend to do the same. So if two people called then it is not a "legitimate" complaint. If I wasn't married I would sleep with their husbands just to get revenage (seriouslly...this is how mad I am...and I am very vindictive)

I know huh but it beats pushing the car on the driveway by myself

agreed on not being able to work on the driveline/exhaust. that is one of the design disadvantage to the sicssor jacks.

is your car that low? I can't never get my car jack underneath my front
anyhow..ackup point because it is so low (and i have low profile jacks). I need to drive my car up a ramp and then use the jack.

so anyhow on to the pix. I couldn't push the car to my driveway because there is a slight incline. actually when I removed the jack stands and dropped the car in neutral in moved backward 2-3 feet into the grass.

I couldn't push the car for my life until I realized that I have the SNAPPER

this particular model isn't design for towing but I had no choice since I can't push the car by myself.

I pushed the car the last few feet one inch at a time by using the BMW chalked block to prevent the car from sliding backward.

I am really upset right now and I hate my HOA. I need to sleep this off

can you put a car cover on it? Or does the HOA frown on that too?

My cars are def too low - I have to jack the rear to get my very low level jacks under the front

Kill two birds with one stone: tell them that you'll sleep with them if they push the car in for you.

I have not read most of this thread, is your goal to make your BMW faster by hooking up a riding lawnmower to it ?

I never considered that one!

J/K, hope it all works out.

True, idk why theyre always Asian. Not a bad thing but finding that isn't that is into cars is like finding a 4 leaf clover. And finding girls who like cars let alone wrench is difficult enough already.

I know 1 white girl and 1 Asian girl who I can say love cars and don't mind turning wrenches with genuine interest. And more Asian girls who love cars over any others who just "oh I like that it's cute" type of girls.

Soul. Sole is a part on your feet or a type of fish.

Home Owner's Association. Basically if you buy a house in a certain area, you have to sign a thing saying you'll abide by their rules. The idea is to keep the neighborhood looking classy or whatever. I personally hate HOAs.

HOA also maintains certain things and makes sure your nextdoor neighbor doesn't paint his house pink.
