I drove a E32 @ 16, also had a Euro spec E24 @ 20. Bought my E46 @ 26, my 2002 @ 29. Don't act like you're buying a $45,000 car, you can get E46's for like $3,000 nowadays

$3,000 - look on Craigslist. My E46 was significantly more than that.

A brand new E46? Pass the pipe bro...

By new do you mean a used e46 in pristine condition
By the way, your other thread calling out 1999-2001 e46, the photo you displayed in the first post is not your car then? Just wondering...

Why had it been "towed around" so much with so few km... sounds like you have more issues than big wheels. If its actually in good condition than its probably gonna be pricey.

jkrap, you're an idiot. Stop using other member's pictures and asking stupid questions for a car you don't have.

The "E46 collector edition" you're waiting on is a bunch of made up bullshiit. If you think insulting members will get you anything but ridiculed on this forum, you're in for a surprise. You remind us all of why we make fun of 17 year olds.

jkarp1 is why I hate school holidays, all these kids with no friends on the net trolling about being rich for buying a ~10k car and how he's gonna get a brand new E46 from who knows where. Getting a 200k mile E46 doesn't make you rich kid, not that it matters or anyone cares. I have one thing to tell you S.T.F.U + GTFO

By the way guys you can't actually get an E46 for 3k in AUS so the troll is right about that. Our car taxes means getting a Ferrari 599 is ~600k and now that the Australian dollar is STRONGER than the US dollar it's even more in US dollars. E46s are around 10-20k here.

I wasted a lot of time reading this thread and fear I did not learn much about what would be a good wheel upgrade (as far as size) for my recently acquired BMW.

So, I think I'd like to go with 18's to get a little better look but not diminish performance. Any advantages having staggered vs. square?

Right now I am stock sport staggered with 17's.

Bro bigger the rim more lose in power. The reason for this is more weight due to bigger diameter of the rim and also more rubber. Also keep in mind if you can get a liter rim then go for that. You can Google lightweight BMW rims. And find some decent stuff. And to touch on the staggered vs square. Go staggered, all your power is coming from the back. So more rubber making contact to road "wider" the better!

He's asking this about a 330, not a Stage 4 HPF M3. The wider tires in the back will only slow you down and cost more when replacing. Not to mention they can't be rotated.

225/40/18 look and function perfect, for 18".

Why is it that no one can post a damn thing without someone trying to one up you? Any way there is a point in the no rotation, and cost. Regardless if his car is a M3 or a 330i its rear wheel drive! Last I checked BMW has staggered fitment "stock" on a lot of their cars. Also Audi, Mercedes, Lexus...So your telling me they have no idea what they are doing? Their just slowing us down? What a bunch of dooch-bags they are!

Nobody is trying to one up you. You're giving one side of the story with a weak argument that because the car is RWD it must have wider tires in the back. My Civic has FWD, should I put 255 in the front because it has VTEC?
