I got my d99 android working about 90%. Other 10 % i need your help! Before i begin i want to say it definitely has that WOW factor. I mean come one i can play angry birds words with friends all relatively fast!
Ok here are the issues: 1. On android side with audio i hear few chirps, bleeps sometimes coming from speakers (with pandora or even music on sd card) What is that? 2. There is a little noise coming from the unit when the volume is off, ac is off i can hear a strange noise from the unit it self not the speakers. almost like a whistle from the unit What is that? 3. Again Sirius app cant get it to work on android! 4.

Hi, Is anyone having trouble with Sygic? mine was working ok but has since started not to load. I press the app but it will then automatically go back to the android home screen. I have attempted re-installing it but to no avail. I have since downloaded Co-Pilot live premium and must say it is more reliable and user friendly. Other then my GPS sometimes taking ages to lock on and that it wont tether to my Sony Xperia which isn't a great probelm, I have to say that I love everything about the Dynavin once you can get your head around it.

To be honest, I didn't read through everything, but kinda hoped things were at a "resonable" level of quality, which is.... questionable. Changed to a memory based (vs HDD based) iPod, have started using my headset instead of bluetooth. My take on it is, it wasn't worth the money I paid by a long shot, but I've paid it now and it's borderline servicable, so I'll deal with it - sadly, this is the kind of atitude that results in the continuance of poor quality products in our marketplace, but I'm too busy to lead a one man crusade ![]() Cheers all, Tom |

![]() As for software updates... very likely the hardware and software were developed using outsource companies and after professional acceptance signoff they are limited to the changes that can be made. Android is openish... changes can be made there. I am sure the radio firmware can be hacked too... looking forward to getting one of these units. |

Hi all
I am new user of D99. My car is Subaru Outback H6, 2007, European version, Original radio was KENWOOD GX204LEF2 with electronic 2 zone aircon but splited PCB (not like in the US version with common PCB for radio and aircon), so full replacement of the front panel is not required. I have to replace plastic only. SWC is resistant, not connected to the CAN. SWC is working fine, using ASWC made by Axxess. I have connected USB HUB MODECOM UFO (reported as Alcor Micro Corp.) with external power supply, it's working fine with wi-fi and Bluetooth (Broadcom). Torque is working fine, but little slow. On Galaxy S II is much faster. Tested with default android and M3EVOLUTION 20011209. I am waiting for CAN-BUS driver, to see if any part of OBC can work. I have small adapter, named DENKEN IPAS, connected to OBDII, rear camera and video input. It's working Very fine. Compatible with a lot of cars with OBDII and ESP/VSC/VDCS |

Hi guys, I just installed my d99 unit but having a few problems that I couldn't yet find in this thread.
The brightness settings in the display menu don't seem to do anything Holding the mute button to dim the screen just turns it off I can't press the top contact in the address book (after calibrating the screen) The steering wheel controls don't work I can't access the obc The satnav voice is deafening and I can't seem to turn it down Navigaton doesn't work, comes up as "wrong start point (8)" when calculating a route. Please could someone help, I've emailed the site I bought it from (www.dynavinstore.com) but haven't had a reply. I owe someone big time for any help |

Do you mean the brightness in the display section of the settings? Because it doesnt seem to affect anything

The brightness/contrast settings are for video playback, they only affect the DVD/CD/SD/USB part of the unit, they are not system wide.

Jeff - thanks for the quick shipment. I have everything I need to install the unit this weekend. I have some wiring questions. I am including pictures to clarify what I am asking. Thanks everyone who can help with this.
I am using the BSW Youtube installation video - quite helpful () but still have some questions. What is the difference between GPS-USB and DVD-USB? Also is there a wire that comes with the unit to plug into the TMC-IN? (I am guessing TMC-IN is for Traffic monitoring?) 1. Here is the back of the unit picture. I do not see any wire/port for IR-IN? From the discussion board it seemed that I would need IR-IN for using steering wheel controls. https://picasaweb.google.com/rahulso...16397596134018 2. Do I need to connect both the parking and reverse wires for the system? I am guessing they are for watching DVD's in the unit? Also where would they be connected to? https://picasaweb.google.com/rahulso...16408406085474 3. What is this wire? I was messing with it and it fit in the TMC-IN slot - is that where it belongs? Where would the other end (not the adapter end) fit or should be left? https://picasaweb.google.com/rahulso...16487110234002 4. What is this box? What is it used for and where would it be installed? https://picasaweb.google.com/rahulso...16596967931442 5. What are these adapters for? https://picasaweb.google.com/rahulso...16630118118066 6. I have a stock radio - so do I need to connect these wires? https://picasaweb.google.com/rahulso...16657024266866 7. I bought a aux line in cable and backup camera. Guessing these are for that. FOr backup camera, do I need to snake the wire all the way from the unit to the trunk to the camera? https://picasaweb.google.com/rahulso...16686059233858 8. Camera. Is this cable for the camera? My unit was packaged with a read view camera. So I am not sure what this wire is for - camera or the unit? https://picasaweb.google.com/rahulso...16699707369570 Here is the camera I bought: https://picasaweb.google.com/rahulso...16733778796578 This is for a 2001 E46 325i sedan. I see that the yellow video cable with plug into the yellow socket. Any idea what plugs into (or what does it plug into) the red socket? The red/black wires are for power I think. Any idea where those would go? Do I need to take the trunk apart for this? Does any one have a good Youtube for the installation? And here is the really stupid installation paper that came with the camera: https://picasaweb.google.com/rahulso...16801075650914 https://picasaweb.google.com/rahulso...16840467473090 Thanks! |
