I dont know any specific reason you would have trouble with the navigon app, ive used it in the past without issue but not recently, remove it and try again, pay close attention to the prompts as installing an offline nav app can be tricky as you install the app and often then install the maps separately, sometimes even download them on your computer.

[WinCE, D99+ for BMW e46, Right-side SD Slot]

Are only certain types of Micro SD cards supported for multimedia capability? (SD, SDHC, SDXC)
Are there any additional functions beyond playing audio and video? (Wallpaper, etc..)

Thanks!

I havent tried SDXC but I know they work fine with SDHC. That slots function is music and video only.

Angry Starting to get fed up..

So, I'm currently testing the different formats that are acceptable for SD Card-based video (as I saw a 'Codec Not Supported' message this morning ), and am beginning to suspect that MP4 files are not usable..

If that is really the case, I'm adding it to my list of 'knock-off' 'third-world-country' programming that I've come to see all too regularly since purchasing this overpriced PoS..

Can anyone tell me if there is a Windows-based firmware update yet to start fixing all the nuisances???

I rounded up all the video files I could find on my computer, .avi, .mpg, .mpeg extensions worked. .mp4 did not. Im not enough of a computer guy to know more than that but its what i could figure out with the files I had on hand. I would like to have a more definitive answer for you but frankly there are too many variables to answer with much confidence, plus few people use the SD card for video so there is little to no customer feedback on it.

Keep in mind, its a car stereo, not a computer. The "WinCE" designation only applies to to the part of the unit running the navigation program, the rest of it is car radio/DVD based hardware.

Hey Guys

I have a Dynavin D99 Win Ce in my R32 for the last few months and everything was working great till 2 days ago. The Nav/GPS isn't working, it keep searching for satellites. I dont know if the GPS Sensor might be faulty. Any ideas on how to go about fixing the issue? Thanks Gents.

Check your gps antenna, its either loose, damaged, or dead. If its bad, contact your dealer for a replacement.

Hey Guys,

I Have a D99 Dynavin installed in my e46 but it doesn't boot/start up anymore, it's the WinCE model.

Fuses look good, I don't know if the Dynavin in the back has a fuse, but are there any tips or tricks around this problem?

yes there is a fuse, but you need to do some basic troubleshooting, take the unit out inspect everything, use a multimeter to see if power is getting to the unit, etc....

Dynavin info......D99 (new for 2012)

Hey Jeff, any idea if the current unit will be getting replaced any time soon? I ask because I'm about to buy one but would hate for a new model to be released next month! I'm doubtful though considering the age of the E46 platform.. But figured it wouldn't hurt to ask, thanks!

Hey Jeff,

Thanks for you reply. Today removed the Dynavin from my BMW, seems that the 15A fuse in the back was blown. So I thought, thank god only a blown fuse. Replaced the fuse for a new one 15A started to connect everything, but the fuse blows right away when I connect the power wiring harness.

So I thought OK lets try to disconnect everything and only the power wiring and again it blows the fuse...I stopped after blown fuse number 4.

What could be wrong, is this in the Dynavin itself or in the BMW standard wiring of the radio.

Yeah, fuses blow for a reason....did you disconnect the ibus box too? i dont think ive seen a Dynavin internally shorted out....but I have seen a few bad ibus boxes. If you did disconnect the ibus box....and it's still blowing fuses....well, bad news...

Hey Jeff,

Okay then it doesn't sound good for me, I disconnected everything but fuse keeps blowing...Very strange situation, only disconnected the battery when my car was at the garage for maintenance and got my car back with a dead screen...

Let's see what the dealer going to say, my Dynavin is from 06-04-2012...

Hi!

I am having troubles with the bluetooth sound on my Dynavin D99+ android device. I am using a samsung galaxy s3, and it works fine with a similar player. I've also tried another phone connected to my player but still having the same problems. The problem is that the music sounds distorted, especially the bass, when I'm playing music through bluetooth. This is not a problem if I am using aux or radio.. Also the dynavin keeps requesting access to my phonebook even though i keep accepting. Does anyone have any clue as to what the problem can be? I've also noticed that if i turn on my fog lights when i'm listening to the radio, the signal gets worse. Can it be some kind of interference problem?

If you have a question email me, visit our website, or send me a PM. Requesting a PM with no question is not really how we do this.....
