It's not the amp, it's the main connector. I believe premium sound units use different connectors. For non-premium sounds, the main connectors are either 40 pin old or 17 pin old. Premium sound uses different pin (can someone verify how many).

This is the 17 pin old connector in the picture, you have a different connector meaning it won't work with HK.

Oh that's the 17 pin old meaning you can buy that dynavin clone and make it work.

I checked your unboxing video, I paused to when you show the 17 pin connector, and all the prongs match up with mine, but what is the small 10 pin connector in my picture?

So we can confirm HK folks can buy enco units? I'm going to order soon, just waiting a message from Jolly for when the new android unit with working wifi will be release. she told me it will take 1-2 weeks.

My car doesn't have an OEM navi, would I need to purchase something to relocate the climate control?

All these units are made in china wether it's dynavin or no name brand so buying a cheaper one i would not worry about it, dynavin is overpriced.

I agree, but they are not the only game in town now. To be honest I had a much better customer service experience so far with Jolly and enco, here is why:
Although totally over priced I was finally going to purchase a Dynavin and I contacted they via phone- No answer after several trys. So I emailed and two days later I get an email telling me they were out of stock on the windows unit... When I emailed and asked when they would be in stock- again two days later I get an email and they said they didn't know for sure and then they didn't even bother emailing me again when they were back in stock. I just happen to check their website and now it says they have them. Poor customer service as far as I am concerned for a $1000 radio. This thread popped up just in time and I ordered from Jolly last Monday. Prompt emails and excellent customer service at half the price. I emailed her and recieved a reply ten minutes later! I paid $420 total shipped. Half the price and way better customer service in my opinion. |

HK System Wiring
My 05 M3 ZCP with HK also has same Round Pin Connector as above. I would guess, my application would cause a prolem with Bluetooth as I lack the steering wheel buttons that ALL OTHER BMW's have....a small sacrifice for a sweet steering rack, I guess.
(Good thing Parrot makes a nice Bluetooh system (MKI9000) as long as you hide the UGLY Microphone.) |

After doing some researching - it looks like anyone with an OEM nav system will at least need the Fakra cable - as the "radio" portion is in the trunk - so this cable routes all the wiring to the front of the car. From there I'd imagine it should just be as simple as plugging it in?
Szenco responded asking if the HK system is digital or analog...anyone know? I'm a noob when it comes to sound/audio |
