Hello guys,
Trying to upgrade to EU2. and setting up my WinKFP, after I put the last 7 digits, it brings up to the screen below. Do I pick default or the ECU = 19.... Also I bought the CD from first post (romanian seller) however it came with winKFP 5.0 and I read in this thread that we need at least 5.1.6 so I download an updated version online that comes with WinKFP 5.1.6 but it came within BMW Standard tools and it upgraded all those programs that I already had from the CD I bought. Could you let me know if this is ok or what I did pretty much ****ed me up and now I should delete everything and re-start everything back from the CD even though is an older version of WinKFP. Also I my battery charger should be here on wednesday so just trying to be ready for the day to jump in and do this. Thanks in advance. Quote:

Also, for the people that have headers and no cats, would you first upgrade to EU2 and then install headers or viceversa? I'm kinda stuck on that because I won't install headers till this weekend.

after you do that the models will appear in Inpa menu, if you bought it on ebay from catastefy http://www.ebay.com/sch/catastefy/m....p2047675.l2562 you should have some videos that show these steps regards! |

Anybody done any work with Windows 8? I've got INPA running fine on Win7 64bit with a Belkin F5U409, but I'd really like to switch to 8.

guys,
I need your help. My husband and I just finished our 330i engine swap into our 323i (MS42). See my thread if you are curious. We successfully programmed the car DME to the 328 software as of 5 mins ago. We were told that the 328 (USA) current version is 7526757 and the latest 323 (USA) current version is 7526754. Based on our research this info seems to be accurate. However, when we updated our software we read our current DME version and it was different from the latest 323 (USA version). the version that we wrote/flash over was 7526765. Therefore, this lead me to believed that there is a newer 328 (MS42 USA) flash out there. can anyone confirm or deny? thanks this lead us |

I just want to say thanks to everyone who has contributed valuable information in this thread and has made it possible for myself and others to reflash our DMEs. I was able to re-flash my 330i with the EU2 tune successfully last night...THANKS! BTW I was using my Asus laptop running Windows 7 64 bit.

The only thing im a little confused about is the part number for the ECU using the link on the first page..
http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E4...me_programmed/ Am I going to be using the first part number listed? It make no reference to EU2 and the only ones that do are for SMG tranys *Edit* Its not letting me post the link... After I select my production using Europe, the first part number that comes up has a empty description box.

I got INPA and everything to install fine, but I'm having a helluva time with the F5U409. I have the win7 64bit driver that i used to get it working before, but Win8 just sees it as an unknown device. I even waited to plug it in until after installing the driver.
![]() anybody have any ideas?

Thanks for the response! I still can't get it to work though....I've tried uninstalling all drivers, running ccleaner, then running the program, and just about every combination in between

After reading through 10 pages I am very confused. But still would like to give this a shot. I will be getting ebay headers in a few weeks. The cable from ebay in post one is all I need? Along with the programs suggested. I am looking to eliminate the cel from no cats that is all.

Yes, buy the cable/software package from the Romanian eBay seller, catestefy.
Then follow the DIY I posted within the first few pages. Any software errors you encounter, keep reading my posts. Its not too difficult once you understand which program does what. |

Hey I need some help installing installing WinKFP so I can do EU2 euro flash on my 02 330xi. Everything went well until this error shows up (pic in the bottom,) but the DIY says I have to "load it up" but I can't find what his talking about anywhere on my computer. I try to type that file (SGIDC.AS2) name on notepad but it says "file not found." What I'm missing? Where or how can I load that file in notepad? I have WinFKB version that came with the software and I need to update it or download 5.1.6 version, does anyone know how to do this?
Here's the website I found this http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1590483 Last edited by Mflara20; 12-15-2012 at 09:38 AM. |
