You need to change the 'folder options' for windows so you can see all the file extensions. Then find the 'SGIDC.AS2' usually in the NFS\DATA folder. With the file extension '.AS2' visible change it to a '.txt' extension so you can open the files in Notepad. Inside Notepad you can exclude the extremely long program command string (or strings but there is usually only 1 or 2) by placing a ';' in front of the string. After that is done save the file, convert the extension back to '.AS2' then try opening WINKPF again. The errors should be gone now and you should have access to the program functions. Good luck!

I installed everything and tried to update. The number I got from bmwfans for EU3 is 1214 7545670. I start WinKFP, Click Comfort mode, Click Enter ZUSB and enter 7545670 but I get this error.

Works on 7, its called BMW Standard tools, and have you read the first 5 pages?

This thread keeps going in circles. These answers have been given dozens of times already.

Needs to be run in XP compatibility mode, as an administrator. Right click the .EXE file and you'll find it in properties.

Google BMW Standard Tools 2.5.1.0, a link comes up from TPB. The file is only about 25mb. I don't want to get in trouble for posting torrents.

Once you have the daten files:
1) Copy files from "SP-Daten-E46\Ecu" to "C:\Ediabas\ECU"
2) Copy files from "SP-Daten-E46\Sgdat" to "C:\EC-APPS\NFS\SGDAT"
3) Follow the instructions here to import daten files into WinKFP (5.1.6)

Honestly, if it doesn't work after this just delete it all from your C drive and start fresh with the newer version of BMW Standard Tools.
Thx for the help bro im almost set up just wanted to know if for step 1 & 2 do I overwrite the files currently in the files or put them in with the files already in there?

Overwrite the files. What you already have in the Daten files may be out of date or incomplete.

Worst case scenario, it overwrites the same files that are already there.

Ok got it working thnx, just to clarify. In one of the post you say to make sure that you "Ensure you disable UIF writing" than a couple posts later you posted that quote from TerraPhantm and he says to "Restart WinKFP. Click "configuration". Make sure "fast baudrate" is unchecked. Make sure "Programming Voltage", "Show Programming Voltage", "Test Checksum", "activate Bootsectorupdate", "UIF Write after data", "UIF Write after Program", and "UIF Write in Comfort Mode" are checked." I have a 01 325ci and i looked it up on bmwfans.info and im guessing that 12 14 7 564 762 is the right for my car am i correct?

We have the same year vehicles, except mine is a sedan.

I used 12 14 7 564 452 for my car and it works well. The one you posted would work too, but the one I mentioned was used up until a later year.

I wouldn't be worried about things coming FROM Romania, as opposed to you sending something there.
I also don't get the lols. You would be surprised how amazing of a country it is, and how modernized it has become.

Catestefy has a reputation to uphold. Be patient.
