Anyone have any success finding a software that will work on mac? I know there's an ipad/phone app but i'd rather have it on my computer. & I really dont feel like running parallel & purchasing a copy of windows.

Then maybe just download a copy, like everyone else.

Fun fact, windows works perfectly fine unactivated. Just no updates.

okay.. so i'll go pirate a copy of windows to install on my mac then run a program to open windows then download a piece of software to windows to run a code on my car. Yeah, I think the 30 seconds it took to ask if there was a mac program was a decent idea rather then deal with all that. I'd rather not fill up my hard drive w/ a new OS just to check codes

Do you know of bootcamp? I have done that on my Mac and you can split your Hd in half or whatever you want towards the windows drive and you can run windows aswell as windows games etc, while still on your Mac.

Yeah, I was looking into bootcamp & talking to my dad about it because he uses it for his CAD programs. I just wanted to know if anyone made a compatible software but you can't do that without some guy with a hard on for windows telling you to sell your computer apparently.

Re: BMW USB OBD Diagnostic thread

There are Mac based OBDII software packages, but nothing BMW specific. Also all Mac programs will be on the expensive side. Google is you friend!

Smartest thing to do is dig out your old XP laptop and turn it into a car diagnostic computer. I have about 4 older but decent XP laptops I use for all sorts of stuff like this.

For you Apple/Mac only guys - https://www.yhasi.com/index.php

For you iOS i product guys - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/obd-fusion/id650684932

There are other things out there, but they may be a bit more expensive and/or a bit more immature.

Re: BMW USB OBD Diagnostic thread

I'm trying to use INPA to reset adaptations... I bought this setup and installed INPA (the UK version as per instructions) and used the USB drivers that came with it for the cable, but it won't connect to my car.. I'm terrible with these things, I even had some trouble setting up my 1.4.0 scanner before.

What am I missing?

Would anyone be interested in screen sharing with me and setting me up so I'm safe with everything on WINKFP? I'd rather let someone experienced start me off, better safe than sorry.

if you do all the stuff from that link it wont work and youve done unneccesary steps when you imported PABD and P-SGBD you need only need to import the assembly line data. So i would just uninstall everything and start fresh and once you have winkfp open follow my diy and dowload the daten files and winrar sooftware, so you can open and extract the files. Then open the attachment at the bottom of my diy and follow those steps to put the files from the datens folder into the correct folders for winkfp to use and it should work.

I would hate to delete what the seller installed because then I won't have SSS, DIS NCS INPA, etc
