So ^^ that explains my day so far. My 323i Sport (or touring...) is new to me and I knew there were would be a few problems but kinda overwhelmed with everything. I am getting these codes

Early Fuel evopration (EFE) heater circut fault (continued...)
Cylinders misfire detected- random cylinders
Option 1- Ignition System fault- Spark plugs. Ignition coil
Vacuum Leak
Injector Fault
High or Low Fuel Pressure
Too much secondary air injected
Defective Oxygen Sensor
Blockage in pump breather circuit
Cylinder 4 Misfire Condition
Cylinder 6 Misfire Condition

So all in all I am getting all of these readings together. The back story on the car is that I jut got it a few days ago from a private seller who had it stored all winter (in the Minnesota COLD). Because of this the valves had frozen up a bit and needed to be warmed up. This picture below explains what the BMW dealership in Rochester had to say about it. It makes sense but doesn't give any options as far as the problem is.

Now I have a large sense that the injection system is running not very smooth regardless of the codes. (Even though one of the codes says that specifically) I think regardless of it all it needs a nice cleaning just because one can't say how long or if ever it has been cleaned.

The o2 sensor code (P1477) is most likely an offset code from one of the other things that is going on. Now I am hoping that all of these things are tied to one problem instead of each of them being their own but one doesn't know.

Know I know that no one is going to be really be able to help me out until I go and run a diagnostic on the car. I don't expect it. I just want to know what you guys have to say about this all and if so, if it has happened to any of you guys before? Maybe a couple of these codes together for someone? Anyway wanted to hear from people who have much more experience than myself. Thanks for all your help and let me know if I can give you guys more information.


O also there is a slight knock in the engine and I'm not sure how that plays into all of this. Also sometimes when I am driving or idling I will get a slight shake and it hasn't been bad since it has warmed up but it was more so there when it was cold. I was told it was due to the CAI filter being dirty. This version of thee car did come with the OEM Dinnon exhaust, anti roll bars and CAI. All carbon fiber and awesome, but wondering if that has anything to do with it. Also I did want to clean the filter but it just seems like the biggest pain the a** to get too and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with taking those out? I don't feel like talking off all the paneling just to get to it (though you know I will...) Again thanks guys for your time!
