I have an 01 M3 vert but my LCM couldn't be coded/programmed for oem led tails. Ive done the resistor mod to get rid of the warning on the dash but I'd like to do this the "right way". A local gave me this lcm but Im not sure if its the correct one or not.
My car currently has OEM Xenons and rain sensor wipers. This is what I'd like to do with the spare. 1)Program it with my vin and mileage 2)Code it for oem xenons and rain sensor for a 2001 3)Code oem led tail lights 4)Front corner delete mod Would it be possible to code this LCM? Here are pics of the spare lcm that I have. I think its from a 2004, but the faceplate might have been changed. I dont care for the auto function as I never use it anyway. ![]()

George, it is definitely programmable.
Switch unit, light / foglamps 1 09/2005 61316936836 ENDED This was used on cars produced from 07/2003-09/2005 according to real oem so it is programmable. You will get a tamper dot though unless you end up using PA soft to change the vin. You were also correct about the faceplate being changed, as the part number states it is for cars with a rain sensor, fogs and auto lights. Last edited by 04yfz; 01-26-2012 at 05:18 PM. |

Yes, although according to the part number it states this was for a car with Xenons, but that's only a programming change anyway.
