My Ride: '02 M3 Vert
---- Intro to my '02 M3 Vert & Progress Thread ---- LOTS OF PICS

sup fellas! hope you guys didnt miss me too much!

many of you know i parted out the sedan many months back. here's some pics for those who forgot what she looked like:

well after a few months of saving up more money and straightening out some issues with the sedan i began searching for a replacement. at first i wanted to move up to a 335i but it was a bit out of my price range and after driving one it felt a bit too soft and refined for my liking. i eventually decided that i would move up to an e46 m3. my initial choice was a 6spd coupe but after checking out a vert in person and then driving a smg my options opened back up to pretty much anything i could find.

fast forward to early december and i found one for sale in santa barbara that i fell in love with. it was a 2002 m3 vert aw/cinnamon with only 60k miles. the owner took great care of the car and constantly kept in touch with me and shared all the information that i could've asked for. here are two pics (of many that i received):

after going back and forth with the seller he agreed to make his way down to orange county and i got the car inspected by two different shops of my choosing. everything checked out and by the end of the day i had the papers signed and the car was officially mine! here are some pics the day after i brought her home:

both e46's

after not being able to enjoy my hobby for so long i was excited to get to work on the car. here's some small things i did within the first week of ownership:

smog

6k low beams

hid fogs

led license plate lights and interior lights:

magic eraser on the steering wheel + blackout emblems

after that i was able to trade in my square oem m3 18s rears from the sedan for another set of oem 19's. heres a funny diagram i drew myself to explain how the trade was going down as well as set up the wheels for both cars:

after finishing up everything at the tire shop i had the 4 rears put on the m3 and the 4 fronts put on the sedan:

next round of mods brought a csl diffuser, topspeed exhaust, trunk lip, angel eyes, and shorty antenna:

fast forward to this week. i installed painted reflectors, black fender grills, tein springs, and i'm currently in the process of wrapping my interior trim with silver cf. here are some pics from today after i had an ar20 installed (i washed the car after these pictures were taken):

so there is my intro! there are a few more mods on the way but i need to get some maintennance things taken care (alignment, brakes, belts, misc items) before i can move forward. future plans are suspension overhaul (coils, fcabs, steering coupling, rtabs, rsm's), hardtop, headers, wheels, dynavin, and other things im probably missing.

thanks for lookin and i hope you guys enjoyed the read

literally my ideal color combo. If only it was manual! Amazing pickup nonetheless. Can't wait to see what you do with this one!

good choice bro!!!
i sold the tails off since they didnt fit my vert oem led retrofit is on the list as well!

im definitely gonna take a crack at the left pipes, although i might change it out for another setup but we'll see

i definitely decided im gonna go with 18s for my wheel setup, just unsure of what i want at this point. the 19s are too damn harsh for daily driving and i cant imagine how much worse it'll be with coils!

YES! Welcome back buddy. I was wondering WTF happened to you, lol. Loving every single thing about the M3. Square rear setup + OEM FTW! The four fronts on the sedan is also a very sleek look. Way to make the most of your money!

Nice cars WoW, I really want my sedan to look as nice as yours was. Interesting how you have a black sedan and a white m3 vert, nice contrast haha
