who in socal can install new vanos seals for me?

please don't tell me to wrench on my own car ... i don't usually ever work on my car except for basic stuff and would rather pay someone to change out my seals that has done it before.
anyone in oc preferably and its a non-m.
hoping to get a fair price.

no indy shop that i know of offers this service and only fanatics do it.

pm me please I'm sure a lot of other members want this done to and personally have at least 3 friends that want it done also.

Contact forum member kaiv and see if he can do it. He is very well known for the work he does and I've personally had him do a valve adjustment. I'd gladly recommend him to anyone. He is well priced and very helpful.

yeah I've heard nothing but great things about the guy but have read he only does valve adjustments and header installs. ill pm him fur sure though thanks.

Have you asked Choleaoum yet?

I recently did this to my car. It's not that bad. It made me pretty fearless of doing anything else now. Just to be clear your looking to do the innner vanos seals from besian correct? not just the whole vanos unit seal? you will have to do your Valve cover gasket at the same time. Might as well do an oil and filter change while your at it. Consider belts and pullies as well. how is your Oil filter housing gasket doing? Are you looking for labor price or parts as well?

Personally, I did everything at once. Now I'm not really worried about any maintence for a while.

yeah I'm close with cholea he's a great guy but he hasn't done seals yet and he's thinking about doing them on his car.. i have got a few pm;s and know a guy that will do them for a good price.

EAS dosent do non-m's and 300 is a lot for the job.
im shooting for half that.
just looking to do the vanos seals the 2 of them valve cover replace the valve cover bolts. what other important hoses are in there that you recommend changing out?

what is the whole vanos unit seal?

It will tell you all that you need to do about the process. Additional suggested part replacements as well.

So the price your looking for is labor only right? For parts you're looking at $80 in seals alone.

that's what my shop rates are around for this type of job. I mean its not exactly just an oil change or something as simple as a Valve cover gasket.

true i understand shops have to make something but independent mechanics have the edge in some cases.

It's a decent 4 hr job. It's intricate but I do think specific tools are needed. There was a video posted somewhere. I need to get this done in a few more miles maybe your shop can do it?
