You're not going to look like Mr. Olympia after four months, but you've made really significant gains in that time. Keep on the diet - a lot of us basically wasted time at the beginning because we had poor understanding of diet.

Good work.

robbing with a sword is a good thing

Do I have poor trap genetics? I want them to blow up but I'm having a hard time, even though I just started isolating shoulders/traps not too long ago.
current weight is 162-165, yesterday was probably my best chest/back day ever.

Lol poor genetics.....
Be patient, you got the right idea it's all about isolation and more importantly form! Good form is key, and eat everything in sight! Lol It'll all come together, just be patient

You obviously were not born with pulsating traps lol. Just keep eating and hitting your shoulders they will come.

Deadlifts and cleans are the bet things for traps in my opinion. I've never done anything to isolate traps and mine are pretty large from all the compound lifting.

If you're gonna do shrugs do them heavy. 90% of the people I see do them wayyyy too light.

^+1, it took years for me to get any sort of traps, you have to go heavy to get big!

Start working the neck machine. A big neck rarely doesn't come with big traps. If you workout with friends, do resistance neck exercises. Also do shrugs with the BB. Low-slow reps is normally fun. I do 5 sets for four with 4 seconds going up, then 4 seconds going down. It's a good workout.

OP.

When I started lifting I was 125 in at 5'11

It took about 2-3 years to get to 175 then I hit a plateau at 185 for a while.
Then another at 195.

After almost 5 years I weighed in at 210 with abs. Natural

You got a long road ahead but keep at it, You will reach your goals eventually!
