6 weeks til spring break :o
I gained 35 pounds in about six months. Most of it is muscle, but I put on some fat in the process.
Since July I've probably been lifting 4-5 times a week, most weeks probably only 4. The only supplement I've been taking is No-Explode, and occasionally a protein shake/protein bar. My usual weight is around 205, now I'm at 240. ![]() Pretty basic thread I guess, I'm just looking on advice to lose weight but maintain all the muscle I gained during the bulking... I'm a 6'2" ectomorph hard-gainer and I'm expecting the weight will come off quick once I incorporate cardio into my workouts. I'm on my last few servings of NoExplode and I'm probably going to either go back on Jack3d (no creatine), or no preworkout at all. I had a friend that would do cardio in the morning on an empty stomach and sip BCAA's.... is that even necessary?

There are a number of possibilities:
- You are not actually a hardgainer and, in fact, have great genetics. - You got fat and are playing the "I'm bulking" card. - You actually did gain 35lbs of mostly muscle but are not sharing the full list of what you are using. A few notes on cutting: - Creatine won't bloat you that much; it's not something you must absolutely avoid when dieting. - Cardio on an empty stomach is a debated topic, but I'm an advocate of it. BCAAs will help avoid muscle loss but are probably not necessary unless you are dieting hard, like for a show.

At 6'2 240, you are not an ectomorph. Kushy is an ecto. You are an easy gainer.

I think I was around 160-170 when I was 21. Back in 2008 when I had a serious GF I was eating a lot of **** food and got up to 225+, that was the heaviest I've ever been. Came back down to 205. Last year I was living with 3 other dudes in a party house and wasn't cooking as much as I am now. In July I got my own place and I think this is where I started consuming a lot more food, a lot more meals. Since July I've been drinking a lot more beer too, IPA's multiple times a week, and ordering pizza once or twice a week. So I'm thinking with a huge increase in caloric intake and slowing of the metabolism I've finally went from a hard gainer to a fat bastard.

I went to my doc last friday for a routine check up.
My BMI is 30.... lmao... anything over 30 is considered "obese". Forgot to mention in my OP that I drink a lot of soda.... anywhere from 3-4 /day. I quit soda yesterday

get off pb especially not natty pb, get off milk, only water. both are sugar and we all know sugar is the devil
get some quest bars, pricey but best profile, i don't even know wtf tigersmilk bars are nanas are nothing but carbs , negative better options for protein and creatine than ON i use trutein and allmax respectively you don't need anything pre wo but food, bcaa during wo, i like intrabolic
