I think my humidor isn't sealing right, I seasoned it 1.5 years ago, and now it keeps on staying at 35% humidity, I put in 2 Boveda bags in there, and it raised up to 45. Should I put more bags in? I only have about 30-40 cigars in there.

Check for leaks. How many cigars is its capacity?

does the analog hygrometer that comes built into the CI.com humidor need calibration? can it even be calibrated?

It should be able to, but I didn't because I grabbed a Boveda 72% and they usually run around 70% with that pack and that's right where mines at. So I didn't do the calibration. All seems to be working well.

I definitely think you have a deal problem. All the humidity is escaping. For sure. Especially if you live in a dry area, it makes sense.

Follow the instructions that came with it to season and calibrate.

Thanks for giving me a little latitude to help you out. I'm the Business Development Director at Boveda and a long time member here.

What's likely happening is that the humidor isn't seasoned, meaning the wood doesn't have all the moisture it needs. You'd be shocked how much water the wood needs to absorb. So throwing a couple of our packs in a dry humidor, the wood is robbing the cigars/air of moisture. Here's what I would suggest, put the cigars and the Boveda you have (assuming their either 69 or 72%) in a Tupperware, they'll be perfect. Then call/email me your address and I'll fire you some of our 84% seasoning packs to get your humidor in shape. I'll also send a calibration kit to make sure you have a hygrometer that's telling you the truth. In about 10 days, you'll have a perfectly seasoned humidor and it'll be ready for cigars. Cheers! charles.rutherford@bovedainc.com

BTW, There isn't a more efficient storage device that Tupperware/flip-top cooler, since it doesn't absorb moisture and it's air-tight, two things humidors aren't. Obviously, Tupperware/coolers don't look as good sitting on a desk, but since they're a more efficient environment, our packs last much, much longer in them. And since ours is the only product that won't humidify beyond the RH on the pack, there's no such thing as "too many" more than the 1 Boveda per 25 cigars the humidor holds (even if it isn't full), will just work more efficiently and last longer.

Arguably one of the smoothest. It's up there at least. Pairs perfectly with a cigar. Not overwhelming flavor so you can mostly enjoy the cigar.

Do the dollar test for leaks. You might need to re-season it too. Like I said awhile back, I had to season mine 2x after the dry winter air set in. Whatever you do, do it soon. You don't want to leave your cigars sitting in 35% humidiy.

You must have a 'leak' somewhere. I never have to re-season. There are times when I may have to add more water than usual but it never gets lower than maybe... 60 or so.

I got 3 boxes of these.

The 64 maduro is one of my favorite daily smokes! So many flavors wrapped into cigar!

The 1926 might be too strong for most. Never smoke this on an empty stomach cause you can either pass out or get really sick for the novice smoker.

I've yet to try a Liga. It could be that DE's marketing department is second to none, but every review I've seen on them is positive.
