Oil level sensor diagnoses

Does anyone know how to diagnose the oil level sensor. I get the red oil light on and off until the engine is warmed up. Oil level is fine.

Is there a place on the engine to put a pressure gauge to actually see the oil pressure?

It would be yellow if if was your level sensor, you are talking about the oil pressure sensor on the back of the oil filter housing.

It would be a yellow light for oil sign at your dash board and it will get on after you turn your car on and it will show for 20 sec then it will disappear.
It is located next to your oil drain plug.
I changed mine two weeks ago do to the same yellow light and it was an easy DIY.
The part is $25 from online and you have to do an oil change because you have to drain the old oil.

Where did you get it for $25? I take it that is not Hella (OEM)?

You can check the pressure by using the same spot where the pressure switch is located. Which is on the oil filter housing.

Thank you all so much. Replacing the pressure switch solved the problem.

From what I read, when it comes to oil level sensor OEM should be used. I guess aftermarket ones don't always fit well and can leak oil

YELLOW oil light = level or level sensor.
RED oil light = oil pressure or oil pressure sensor.
