How long as this been going on? Any oil in the coolant lines or radiator?

hi, dont know. i bought the car pre owned with a full service history about 5months ago. i spoke to a local mac and he said it might be that the oil thats in the car at the moment is to thin, i should refill with castrol edge sport full synthetic. there is no oil in the water and no power loss at all.

Weird cause if he was talking about the oil being to thin he was trying to say that it would pass by the piston rings or values and that would cause blue smoke. Unless its so little of oil at a time that you can't notice it. You should already be running full synthetic in your car. M1 or Castrol. What weight of oil are you using and millage on car?

certainly not normal. Common culprits could be the CCV or the oil filter housing. A leaking valve cover gasket is extremely common as well.

it might be the issue but i had my wife drive in front op me and i was on my bike and i couldn't see anything. i have been refilling with castrol and it seems to be better. the mac thinks that the previous owner used semi synthetic and thats what's causing the problem. i had a compresion test done and came out 100%. i thought this might be a common issue with these cars with the valve tronic? is it not?

So your saying the comp is at 100% and there is no oil in the coolant and no smoke or oil in the exhaust and you have full performance with no leaks. HAHAHA ummmmmmm yahhhhhh sounds like your good to me

his first post says it's not dripping. VCGs can leak without dripping. Now that he's stated it was replaced as prev. maint, that should rule it out.

I have the same engine as yours and have no such issues. But I am curious to know what is happening. Let us know please.
Investigate if CCV could be the culprit. Not sure how but if someone could expain then it would be nice. Im off to do some search on it.
