...the hell is going on here?

I don't max out anymore. I can deadlift 405 off the floor and squat 315 below parallel without feeling like I'm pushing TOO hard. For bench, I really baby my shoulders these days, so I have no idea. I think I could still get 315 but I have no intention of trying it.

+1 on babying the shoulders. Wreck those and it's curtains! I no longer bench heavy, and I gravitate more towards dumbbells these days.

I really dont know if I should envy or hate you guys. I was massively ripped back in '01 but after that lost everything. Now, 11 years later I am back in the gym. I go for about 2.5 hours a day including cardio, 5 days a week. I was 206 when I moved to Sicily from AZ and dropped to 178 from stress and the move. There is absolutely nothing to do here. Im back up to 200 flat. I have only been working out since Jan 7th so one month and I am seeing some great gains. Its inspiring. I have 4.5 months left here so hopefully I can get something accomplished.

8:34am in Detroit. I've been up for three hours, had a serving of no explode and a steak/egg/cheese bagel. Did back yesterday morning and then walked around the Chicago auto show, which felt like a mistake around hour three.

I am really hungry. Definitely need more food before lunch.

2.5 hours a day? That's a lot man. I'd suggest it's too much.

Yea...thats which cardio for 30-45 min. There is nothing else to do around here so I kinda take a little longer between sets. Kinda passing the time....Once I get back to the States my workouts will be condensed more.....

I really only have it when I travel, but I should stop that, too, because I tend to get very dehydrated when on the road.

Was up at 4am today, out the door at 5, flight at 6:30, meetings all day, flight at 18:30, delays and layovers, home at 20:15ish. Got my clothes ready for tomorrow, ate five pieces of pizza, feel like hell, going to bed.

Luckily I'm working from home before a lunch meeting, so I'll be able to do cardio in the morning and have a big, proper breakfast.

Not a very good diet today. Two ham/egg/cheese bagels for breakfast, burrito for lunch, ahi tuna and half a kobe beef burger for dinner, and a few vodka tonics in there. My boss's boss was in town and we went out. Going to chug some water/glutamine and get to bed, then work out in the morning.

Did arms last night. Great workout.

Do you take glutamine upon waking up as well? I heard taking it before bed is good, as well as immediately after.

Yeah. There are studies showing the exact time that's best, but generally after workout or before bed. Both are times when your body is in heavy repair mode.

What time do yo normally work out? I hit my back this morning with some light cardio at 5:45am. I love mornings but that is not the norm for me, couldn't sleep.
