M54 supercharged guys, what exhausts are you running?

Whether it's a Centri or Twinscrew, what exhausts are you boosted 330 guys using? Not asking about headers since it's a given that most people run them already, but I mean the from the headers back (catback).

OEM M52 Headers - which are becoming a restriction now with 16-18psi boost.
Looking at getting some after market headers to free it up a bit.

2.5" back from the collectors to the rear muffler with a 2.5" 100CPSI cat. (Cells Per Square Inch)
Muffler out to quads 2.0" (from memory)

Decatted US S54 headers, 2.5 inch collectors, to single 3 inch with two straight through mufflers and a 100 cspi cat.

Well, I could not find any aftermarket headers in Australia.

So,.... I bought a set of cheap Chinese ones off ebay. LOL. (who knows when these will arrive, I was told 7 days to make as they were RHD, then they will ship)
I am also looking at putting in an Electric Dump Valve after the Y pipe as well.

I will do a before and after dyno.

Nice! They should fit fine. Seems like the RHD ones are hard to find. I hope they work out for you!

So it looks like most are running single exhausts. I personally want to stick with a dual set-up. As of now I have the supersprint x pipe (section 1), supersprint resonator (section 2), and Eisenmann Race Muffler (section 3). The problem is the supersprint pipes are 54mm and the eisenmann muffler has 50mm piping. 50mm is the stock piping diameter and not only is it too small for the power, but it's also a bottleneck right at the end of the exhaust.

Ideally I want a dual 57mm (2.25") catback but no company makes one...other than UUC which is terrible with headers. I used to own a magnaflow catback (dual 2.5" piping) but that's overkill and very heavy.

I guess as of now I'm going to see if Eisenmann can make me a new custom muffler with 57mm piping. The sound is so damn good I don't want to go with another muffler lol.

If the ones you bought are like the ones in the photos, you may have to modify to fit.

They are the LHD ones pictured.

What would you think needed modifying?

Cheers Dave.

Bank 4-6, pipes 5 and 6 look like they would interfere with the column, bank 1 to 3 must run closest to the block through the collector to clear steering knuckles at power steering shaft area, I'm unsure if this is the case. Can you sent a picture of the rhd ones? I have to go to work early tomorrow morning, but once I get home I will email you some photos I mocked up with windows paint that I used to gauge which lhd headers would possibly work with rhd.

There was a header thread a short time ago in the Aussie section, and I linked a number of headers I considered, but primary piping sizing information was an issue, and I was offered the S54's cheap, and went that route.

Last post, I almost bought the second eBay listing, but really wanted the third listing ( big price difference ), but primary pipe size concerned me with the porting of my head. There is also an obx shorty style header that comes up often that I believe will fit with minimum work.

Yes, the third ones really look the business. Shipping $600???? LOL
The second ones definitely looked like they would do the job.

The pics I have of the LHD headers is because they don't list the RHD, but I could ask if they have any pics.

SS Headers to SS X/Res to RE DMS. Sounds good to my ears, better than w the UUC in the rear, and made (within margin of error) a bit more power.

No cats, no emissions testing.

These are the RHD Headers. This is the pic they sent me.

I got this 2.5" electric controlled cut out to go with my new headers when they finally arrive.
This should free up a couple more ponies, Yee Haa. I should get a little closer to my 300kW goal on a Dyno Dynamics.
