I know that the standard HPF kit uses the VSS coming off the transmission. I'm not sure if ur setup has that configured or not. In the AEMPro under sensors it is the VSS and input should be set at "spare speed sensor" I'm not sure what the pin on the AEM is?

Re: S54 custom turbo setup

Just finished last tune, car runs amazing now, looking forward for the next 1/4 mile event.

I need to figure out VSS input pin for LC and how to configure WOT shift.

Results are on regular pump gas.

Cipri,

That fuel filter will decrease fuel flow.

You can get a fuel filter from Aeromotive and get the fuel flowing. Otherwise the pump will be blocked.

Fuel flow is very good, I will not increase power on pump fuel.

Ok Capri I have some more info for the VSS.

On 40 pin black connector on BMW ECM pin 17 is output speed signal. I. Not sure if its from the transmission or wheel sensor. AEM VSS is B33 for Generation 1 ems.

Note: I have not tested this but should help get u started.

Re: S54 custom turbo setup

Same old problem which I can not fix:

Cold engine - everything is working perfect
Warm engine - if during cruising under 3000 RPM I push the clutch the RPM drops suddenly and engine stops. If I push only the brake and stay off the clutch until under 1200 RPM and then push the clutch, RPM drops to 500-600 -> comes back to normal and the engine doesn't die and idles ok.

This is anoying because in the city the engine dies if I try to down shift when driving slow...

Needs a shot of fuel before the idle motor kicks in.

Re: S54 custom turbo setup

What could be the problem?

I didn't had this issue before the engine rebuild with lower compression.

I'm wondering if its ur fuel trims for AIT... It could be tuned for cold and not add fuel when it gets warmer and then leans out.
